Recipe: Cheddar Cheese Bread

Today I’m bringing another recipe from The International Cheese Recipe Book. Enjoy!

Cheddar Cheese Bread

2 cups grated cheddar cheese

2 1/2 cups fine whole wheat flour

3 beaten eggs

1 package active dry yeast

1 T honey

3/4 cup warmed milk

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 cup pure vegetable oil

1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds

In a large bowl, mix the warmed milk, eggs, honey, and oil. In another bowl, mix in half the flour and add the yeast, salt, cheese, and most of the sesame seeds. Mix the contents of both bowls together and beat for 3-4 minutes. Work the rest of the flour into the dough by hand. Let it rise for 1 hour. Place the dough in an oiled loaf pan, and sprinkle the remaining sesame seeds on top. Bake for 45 minutes in a pre-heated 350 degree oven.
